During the last 17 years of knowing Joan, there's a few memories I'd love to share;
I'll never forget the time we flew to Nova Scotia Air Canada executive class, chatting & laughing for six hrs, wining & dining and arriving to a beautiful summer day; you bought some Leffe beers and we drank them next to Crooked Lake and, us running through the woods to the cottage & you asking me if we had to worry about bears;
This memory makes me smile, Joan & my mom went to Ireland, they pulled off the M4 for a break & when they pulled back on to the motorway, my mom asked, "Joan, are there two London's?" Lots of laughter ensued and you got the car turned around to head west, not east. Love it xx
The Christmas, Jackie, Richard & Kieran came over was loads of fun, especially when Santa visited & gave Jackie a lump of coal & Richard a mankini, we laughed so much and played games into the night.
We enjoyed lots of meals together, bbq's and the bonfire last summer has fond memories.
Lastly, this one is a cracker, you called my Mom and asked, "Patricia, what are you up to this afternoon? Response: "Joan, I'm sewing Ian's pants (my mom meant trousers). Joan hesitated, then dropped over for a cuppa, to learn, her idea of pants was my mom's idea of trousers, we laughed awhile over that one :-)
Miss you dear Joan, all these memories & more will be with me forever, lots of love, Steph xo

We have know Joan for a few years , she visited us in Italy Cross NS several times and we had some lovely times . The first time we picked her up at the Halifax International Airport ,when we came out with the luggage Joan got in the drivers seat not the passenger seat , Paul said are you driving Joan , she laughter and said oh NO not in Canada you drive on the wrong side of the motorway. .We always teased her about that first time in NS .We introduced her to the Fisherman wharf to go get Lobsters in NS., we have great memories. Joan and I traveled a lot together when I went to the U/K to visit Stephanie and Ian, what wonderful memories. We miss you Joan , but we will meet again and we know you are in arms of our Lord. Love and Peace Patricia and Paul
